French Fête | Camberwell Primary School
Oh La La!
A touch of France in your own backyard!
There is no need to pay for an expensive airfare to be able to satisfy that longing for all things French…
Visit Camberwell Primary School’s (Victoria’s first bilingual English/French school) French Fête on Sunday 20 March 2016 and soak up the French atmosphere.
The Fete offers an amazing variety of stalls, selling food, including French produce and drinks, second-hand books and toys, homemade cakes and jams. Not many school fetes have snails (escargot) or cheese and saussison on the menu but this is no ordinary Fete, nor an ordinary school. The children spend 50 % of their time learning in French, so French influences are everywhere. The tricolour of red, white and blue abounds.
Supported by local families and businesses and the School’s amazing staff, the French Fête has been an annual affair for almost a decade that attracts thousands of people from around Melbourne and the local Boroondara area.
Kids can enjoy any number of carnival rides and games, such as dodgem cars and a giant slide, the animal farm and the very popular art and craft area.
While the children are busy enjoying the carnival games and rides, adults can visit the fabulous silent auction (online bidding closes at 2.30pm) and or relax with the great live entertainment.
Come and experience a taste of France at this school fête with a difference.
